Published 28 Feb 2025 and effective 1 Sept 2025, the same day as the Measures for Labeling AI-Generated and Synthetic Content (CN-09), whose Art. 11 requires labelling to also meet mandatory national standards. It is a mandatory 'GB' standard, not a recommended 'GB/T' one. The Chinese title covers content generated and synthesised by AI (人工智能生成合成内容); the official English title shortens this to 'content generated by artificial intelligence'. An English-language edition, translated under TC260, was published on 30 Jan 2026.
