Status notes

Welcomed by the G7 Leaders in their Statement on the Hiroshima AI Process of 30 Oct 2023, together with the Code of Conduct (G7-02); the statement says that both documents will be reviewed and updated as necessary and instructs ministers to develop the Hiroshima AI Process Comprehensive Policy Framework by the end of 2023. That framework (G7-03, Dec 2023) includes the 'Hiroshima Process International Guiding Principles for All AI Actors', which apply the 11 principles to all AI actors and add a 12th, on promoting the trustworthy and responsible use of advanced AI systems.

Stored and read in this run: the English text on mofa.go.jp (official) and the same text on MIC Japan's HAIP site (soumu.go.jp), which confirm the title, the 11 principles, the non-binding call on organisations and the 'living document' wording but give no date; the G7 Leaders' Statement on the Hiroshima AI Process (soumu.go.jp, dated 30 Oct 2023), which confirms the date, the Leaders' welcome of the principles and the review clause; and the Hiroshima Process International Guiding Principles for All AI Actors (soumu.go.jp), which dates the principles '(October 30, 2023)' and adds the 12th principle. MIC Japan's HAIP documents page, stored for G7-03 on 11 Oct 2026, lists no revised edition of the principles.
