Status notes

Published with the Act's entry into force on 22 January 2026 (111 pages). For each duty the guideline reproduces the corresponding article of the technical notification that sets out the detailed measures under Article 34(2): Articles 4 to 8 on the risk-management plan, the explanation plan, user protection, human management and supervision, and documents; its worked example cites the notification as '고영향 인공지능과 관련한 사업자의 책무 고시' without an official number. It explains decree Article 27: operators post the main elements of their risk-management, explanation and user-protection plans and the name and contact of the person supervising the AI on their premises or website, trade secrets excepted, and a using operator that takes over a system from a developer who has taken the measures under items 1 to 3, without significantly changing its functions, is deemed to have taken them. It refers to ISO/IEC TS 42119-2:2025 on AI system testing. The committee in Article 34(1)6 is named only as 'the Committee' in the guideline.

Another official source, such as an announcement by the issuer, confirms the title, date and status. checked 2026-10-18 · alternative-official-url-fetched
Refresh of 18 Oct 2026 under the rule that level A needs the instrument's own text or an official register. Stored and read: NIA's copy of the guideline (nia.or.kr, PDF, 111 pages, stored 12 Oct 2026 and unchanged when the archiver checked it on 18 Oct 2026; the text layer displaces some numbers and punctuation; the cover image shows the logos of MSIT and the Telecommunications Technology Association, TTA) and NIA's notice of 22 January 2026 listing the five guideline files and their revisions (the record's secondary source, copy of 18 Oct 2026, which differs from the copy of 14 Oct 2026 only in the view count). The guideline confirms the title, MSIT as its author, the Article 34 duties, the reproduced decree and notification articles, the annexes and the hiring example. It carries no date of its own (its background section says only that the Act was to take effect in January 2026), so the publication date rests on NIA's notice (its date and the file name 260122). The notice is an announcement and counts as alt-official, so the record is level B until an official record dating the guideline is stored. The notice also says that the posted files are the current versions. No stored file gives the number or status of the technical notification.
