Summary
Denmark's law supplementing the EU AI Act. It designates the Agency for Digital Government (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen), the Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) and the Danish Courts Administration (Domstolsstyrelsen) as national competent authorities and divides market surveillance of the prohibited AI practices among them; the Agency is also notifying authority and single point of contact. Market surveillance authorities may demand information, enter business premises without a court order, examine AI systems on site, publish decisions, order compliance and temporarily ban an AI system that may pose a risk. Breaches of the prohibitions are punishable by fines.

Open question
the checker found something possibly newer: Possible Danish bill introduced 18 Feb 2026 (per lovguiden.dk, not an official site) that would repeal LOV nr 467 af 14/05/2025; no official page found or stored, adoption unconfirmed. A later run should check ft.dk and retsinformation.dk. Issue #121

Status notes
Bill L 154 of the 2024-25 session was introduced on 26 Feb 2025 by the Minister for Digital Affairs, Caroline Stage Olsen. The Act was signed on 14 May 2025, published in Lovtidende A on 15 May 2025 and entered into force on 2 Aug 2025 (s. 12). It does not apply to the Faroe Islands or Greenland (s. 13). The limitation period for breaches of the AI Act and the Act is five years (s. 10(4)). Retsinformation now lists Forsknings-, Uddannelses- og Digitaliseringsministeriet as the responsible ministry and Digitaliseringsstyrelsen as the administering authority.
