Summary

Presidential resolution approving Uzbekistan's strategy for AI technologies to 2030, within the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy. Signed on 14 October 2024 and in force from 17 October 2024. The number is given as PQ-358 by the Ministry of Digital Technologies and as RP-358 in the English translation on lex.uz. The Minister of Digital Technologies is responsible for organising implementation and the Prime Minister oversees it; the Coordination Commission for the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy reviews the priority AI projects. Presidential decrees amended the resolution: UP-189 of 22 October 2025 (loan terms, the Center's tasks, a restated 2024-2026 action plan), UP-223 of 21 November 2025 (the big-data list) and UP-141 of 24 July 2026 (targets, now 20 AI research laboratories; half-yearly monitoring by the Ministry of Digital Technologies; new chapters on monitoring and evaluation). lex.uz marks the Russian text of the Strategy, the action plan and the amendments as unofficial translations. Law ZRU-1115 of 21 January 2026 later added a definition of AI and general rules on its use to the Law on Informatization.
