Recheck of 17 Oct 2026: re-read the e-consultation.gov.cy bill page and the draft bill PDF linked from it (9 pages), both stored on 12 Oct 2026 and unchanged on 17 Oct, and the Commission's list of market surveillance authorities stored the same day. The page confirms the title, the Commissioner of Communications as publisher, the posting and closing dates, the 25 article headings, the comment count and the status 'under processing'; the bill text confirms the authorities (Article 5), fines (Article 14), the biometric exception (Article 21), the sandbox (Article 22) and entry into force (Article 25). Version 1's statements on a companion bill creating the AI Regulation Directorate, on the January 2025 Council of Ministers designation and the national AI Taskforce (InBusinessNews), and the Cyprus Mail report rested on no stored file and were removed; the fines and the Central Bank's role now rest on the bill text. No English version was found. Whether the bill has since been tabled in the House of Representatives was not checked against a stored file.
