Recheck of 18 Oct 2026. Stored and read: the Decision on the NPC website (npc.gov.cn, copy of 11 Oct 2026, unchanged when the archiver checked it on 18 Oct 2026), which gives the title, the adoption on 28 Oct 2025 at the 18th session of the 14th NPC Standing Committee, its 14 changes including the new AI article (Art. 20), and the entry into force on 1 Jan 2026; and the CAC's republication of the Xinhua text of 28 Oct 2025 (cac.gov.cn, copy of 11 Oct 2026), with the same text. No stored file gives the number of the presidential order that promulgated the Decision, so official_identifier stays empty. Version 1's note that China has not adopted a comprehensive AI law rests on no stored file and was removed, as was its sentence on what the summary covers. The English title is a rendering; no English text by a Chinese public body was found. CSET's English translation of the Cybersecurity Law as amended in October 2025 (cset.georgetown.edu, stored in this run on 18 Oct 2026; translator Etcetera Language Group, translation date 14 Apr 2026, from the NPC text) is recorded as english_version: it translates the amended law, not the Decision itself, and confirms that the AI provision is Article 20 of the amended law and that the amended law took effect on 1 Jan 2026.
