In 2026, ch. 2026-18 and ch. 2026-20 amended s. 827.072, renaming the material generated child sexual abuse material, making its creation a second-degree felony and adding a second-degree felony for transmitting it; ch. 2026-20 was approved on 31 Mar 2026 and took effect on 1 Jul 2026. Ch. 2026-66 amended s. 282.802, changing the cross-reference that defines foreign countries of concern.
