Summary

Education omnibus act. Among other measures it lets school districts receive grants for subscription fees and professional learning to use artificial intelligence to support and accelerate learning for students in grades 6 to 12 during the school day. A funded AI platform must use large language models based on GPT-4, its equivalent or a successor on a closed system, provide one-on-one tutoring aligned to state standards, and give district- and school-level reporting and parental access to the AI interactions. The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning awards the grants, with $2 million in recurring funds appropriated.
